Procedure: Lumpectomy and oncoplastic breast reduction

Patient is a 72-year-old female with Stage IIIa intraductal carcinoma of the right breast and macromastia (large breasts). She underwent simultaneous right breast lumpectomy to remove the breast cancer and oncoplastic breast reduction for balancing. This surgical technique allows maximal preservation of a patient’s natural breast and can reestablish symmetry and the tumor is removed. Photos are 5 months post op. Radiation therapy to the right breast was 2 months prior to the post op photos.
