Patient is a 41-year-old female who underwent bilateral nipple sparing mastectomies through inframammary fold incisions for right breast DCIS. She underwent immediate, staged reconstruction with tissue expanders followed by 355cc round smooth high profile silicone gel implants and breast fat grafting. Preservation of the nipple is a complex decision that takes into account tumor size, location and breast characteristics. The decision to preserve the nipple complex is made between the patient, the breast surgeon and Dr. Bartholomew. Photos on the right are 3 months post op.
