Dr. Bartholomew's path to plastic surgery began under the mentorship of Dr. Wayne Ozaki. He was drawn to the field's unique blend of problem-solving, anatomical mastery, and surgical skill — a combination that perfectly suited his multidisciplinary talents. His plastic surgery training was completed under the tutelage of Drs. Thomas Stevenson and Granger Wong at UC Davis. A simple handshake with Drs. Cliff Canepa and Bruce Webber marked the beginning of his career with this well-established and respected group of plastic surgeons, a start he considers himself fortunate to have had.
Today, Dr. Bartholomew is proud to work with talented partners and his dedicated staff to provide world-class plastic surgery. He finds immense gratification in using his skills to improve patients' quality of life, whether enhancing appearance or restoring function. Exceptional results are paramount, but patient comfort is equally important. He strives to create a sense of ease with a calm demeanor, a sympathetic ear, and unwavering confidence in his abilities.
Education & Residency
Dr. Bartholomew attended USD for his undergraduate education and pre-med studies at San Diego State University. He went on to obtain his Medical Degree (MD) at UCSF and completed his residencies at Oregon Health and Science University and UC Davis Medical Center.

Outside the Office
Dr. Bartholomew is probably unlike any plastic surgeon you’ll ever meet: he was a competitive cyclist in college, joined Mensa at 13, scuba dived off the Great Barrier Reef, and even survived a helicopter crash on Mt. Everest while on a medical mission to Nepal. In his spare time, he enjoys improving his golf game, deep sea and fly-fishing, backpacking throughout the mountains in Central Oregon, spending time with his family, and taking part in his church community.
