Meet Catherine

My name is Katie. I live in Portland, Oregon, and I went to Dr. Bartholomew because I was in need of a breast reduction; he was recommended to me by my doctor. When I made my initial appointment, I went to his website and looked at a lot of the before-and-after pictures and read about his practice. The day of the surgery was really easy. My husband and I went to the surgery center here in Portland. There was a lovely nurse at the center who was just delightful; she helped put my mind at ease and was so friendly and kind. Everything just went really smoothly.

Dr. Bartholomew came in to chat with me one last time before I was put under anesthesia just to ensure he had everything right and that I was still in the right mindset. That was actually really helpful because I had a last-minute change in what I wanted him to do. I basically said to him, "You know, at the end of the day, I would much rather feel like my breasts are smaller than I anticipated, rather than get out of this and feel like they're not as small as I thought they were going to be." Him allowing me to have that last-minute conversation was really helpful because I knew that he knew exactly where my mind was.

The recovery process was exactly how he explained it to me. I feel like it went really, really smoothly. He was very specific about what I could and couldn't push in terms of my body and how it was feeling. I healed really well, and he gave me some great recommendations for scar cream, stretches, and things to do to help get my mobility back, which was wonderful.

I could not be more thrilled with the results of this surgery. I had been talking about having a breast reduction for probably 25 years. I am 1,000% thrilled with my experience with Dr. Bartholomew. I couldn't have asked for a better experience than I had with him and his team. It has been a complete game-changer for me—totally life-changing. My whole life is better because of this surgery.
