Patient is a 75 year old male with a basal cell carcinoma of the left cheek who underwent MOHS surgery by a dermatologist to remove the tumor. The patient requested Dr. Bartholomew perform the wound closure. The photo on the left is after the removal by the dermatologist. The patient traveled to Dr. Bartholomew for the closure the same day. Dr. Bartholomew performed a rhomboid flap, which utilizes a geometric incision to relieve tension on the skin. The photo on the right is 4 months after surgery.
